The ticket checker was the rudest meanest Italian ever! We asked to speak to the manager and he told us he was "the god of the train". Good story I guess?

The God of the Train
Finally on our way to Florence. Note to any eurail pass users, you must fill in the date of travel everytime you take the train or you get a 50 euro fine. Our first several train trips, the ticket checker filled it in for us, but on this train...the ticket checker fined us. It would have been nice to have been informed that we had to do this, so note to anyone using a eurail...fill in the dates.
