So for some reason we thought to get to Florence we needed to take a train from the Mestre station which is much farther than the S.L. Station. Well apparently you don't. We thought since we didn't see any trains to 'firenze' at S.L that that meant they didn't go there. So we get on a bus to Mestre but turns out that is a city + not the station. So we get off somewhere + eat + no one speaks English + Scott doesn't feel good.
Well in the supermarket line buying powerade, Scott asks the cashier (who doesn't speak English + is looking at Scott like he is crazy) + this nice woman behind him says she lives near the station + will bring us. Thank god! So she brings us there + it takes like 10 mins to walk. Amazing. Then we get to the station + get tickets + then realize that we could have just gone from S.L.
So now we are waiting for our train + will be in Florence by 330. Luckily the Academia where David is, is open from 815am to 650pm, so we will either go when we get in or wake up early. And the station is supposedly really close to our hotel! More adventures with Scott + Lauren coming soon...
