We arrived yesterday around noon + didn't get to our hotel until about 1:15. We got a little lost on the metro, but we have it figured out now! We love our little hotel room. It is tiny but definitely no houseboat cabin! It is clean + nice + I am very happy.
We are staying right by the Louvre, so we decided to walk along the Seine river to get to the Eiffel tower, where we were meeting for our bike tour. It took about an hour to walk there. Then we toured the city via California beach cruisers. We went on Fat Tire Bike Tours + there was about 30 people in our group. It is much easier to be in a private bike tour with only 5 people. We saw lots of things, including Invalides, the Louvre, Jardin de Tuilleries, place de la concorde, etc. It was nice but a little slow paced for us.
We had a snack break in the gardens with a view of the Louvre. Very pretty. We got back around 7 + decided to get some wine + cheese + bread to eat under the Eiffel tower. Unfortunately we couldn't find bread + cheese, so we got a cheese crepe instead. We hung out there for an hour or so + then walked over to where our dinner cruise started. It was a very nice dinner on the Seine river.
After the cruise we walked home + fell soundly asleep.
